Maths: 

At Mablethorpe Primary Academy, we believe that every child can be successful in mathematics. Our maths curriculum is designed to help children develop confidence, resilience and a love of learning, regardless of their starting point. We understand that some pupils face barriers to learning, so we provide the support, challenge and encouragement needed for all children to achieve their potential. Through Power Maths, Mastering Number and practical resources, pupils develop fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills while building a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. We encourage children to explain their thinking, learn from mistakes and approach challenges with a positive attitude. Maths is taught through engaging, real-life experiences so that pupils understand how mathematics helps them in everyday life. By linking learning to future opportunities and careers, we inspire children to be aspirational and ambitious. Through our values of Honesty, Aspiration, Resilience, Respect and Positivity, we prepare pupils for success in education, employment and later life.
