Clownfish
Class Teacher - Miss L Carstairs
Welcome to the Clownfish class.
Welcome to term 3 Clownfish!
We have lots of exciting learning around our enquiry question this term across all the subjects. Our enquiry question will be: What will we see at night? PE this term will be on a Monday afternoon and a Wednesday morning so please remember to come in your PE kit and wear suitable shoes. Reading books will be changed every week on a Wednesday so please make sure that reading packs are returned so your child’s book can be changed weekly. We are also monitoring reading diaries to keep track of how often your child reads, and will send out certificates and bookmarks to celebrate key reading milestones.
To support our enquiry question, we have selected an English story featuring an owl as the main character! In science we will be exploring and answering scientific questions about which groups animals belong to. In geography we will be exploring the United Kingdom and its countries and their capital cities. We will explore weather patterns in the United Kingdom and how the equator impacts on the weather in other countries whilst also considering human and physical features. In DT our project will require us to design, make and evaluate a bird house, linking this to how we may have to adapt a bird house to cater for an owl's needs and habits.
We are really looking forward to another term of learning and to the new year ahead. We are incredibly proud of the progress you have all made so far, and look forward to seeing where our learning leads us next in Term 3!
Best wishes,
Clownfish Team
