Jellyfish

Class Teacher - Mrs L Horan.

Welcome to the Jellyfish class.
This page will give you all the information you need about what is happening in our class, such as PE days, homework, trips, events and the areas that we will be learning about during the term.
Welcome back Jellyfish!
We hope you have all had a lovely break and are ready for an exciting new term. We will be continuing our topic of toys this term. In English we will be learning about the nativity story and our writing will link into this topic. In maths we will be learning about numbers to 100 and using addition and subtraction involving one and two-digit numbers and the methods to solve these calculations. We will also learn abut the properties of different 2d and 3d shapes.
In history we will be looking at the nativity story and how toys and gifts may have been different in modern times. Our music this term will be linked to our nativity performance and we are very excited that we will be sharing this with you all. PE lessons will explore Olympic dance and the different ways we can move our bodies and we will also be exploring football fundamentals and ball skills.
Remember that children can access TT rock stars at home to improve their times tables fluency and 10 minutes a day can greatly improve fluency and support other maths learning. Please remember to read at home every day to build fluency and comprehension and remember children receive rewards for their reading achievements. Children’s reading packs should be brought into school each day and will be changed on a Wednesday each week.
Thank you for all your support,
Mrs Horan, Mrs McLennan and Miss Trueman.
