At Mablethorpe Primary Academy, we believe that learning a language opens doors to new cultures, experiences and opportunities. Through the teaching of Spanish, we aim to develop pupils' curiosity about the wider world, encourage respect for different cultures and build confidence in communicating with others.

We want pupils to enjoy language learning and develop the knowledge and skills needed to understand and communicate in Spanish. Through speaking, listening, reading and writing activities, pupils become increasingly confident language learners who are willing to take risks, make mistakes and learn from them.

Spanish also supports the development of key skills such as communication, memory, problem-solving and resilience, helping to prepare pupils for future learning and life in modern Britain.
